Dining

No journey to Asia would be complete without sampling the regional cuisine and on board you can enjoy an acclaimed menu of Eastern and Western delicacies, which are served with natural Burmese courtesy and charm. Buffet-style lunch is served on the Observation Deck or in the Restaurant in seven different themes: Burmese, Shan, Thai, Indonesian, Chinese, Indian and European.

Dinners are served in the Restaurant, at a time to suit you, and offer a choice of dishes to suit all tastes from the flavours of asia and A la carte menus. A selection of European and Australian wines are available to compliment your meal.

The buffet breakfast is augmented by an A la carte selection of hot items cooked to order.

Early morning coffee and afternoon tea is served in the Lounge, on the Observation Deck or in your cabin on request.

Each day the buffet displays a wide selection of salads in small individual portions with the emphasis on Thai inspired, healthy ingredients, including fresh herbs and citrus fruits.

For the main course guests are able to sample four different Asian specialities, presented in small, elegant dishes together on a single Asian-style plate, served at the table.  These are prepared fresh every day by Head Chef, Yannis Martineau.

The desserts are the creation of RTM’s new Pastry Chef Yannick Gondeau who prepares a verity of fruit tarts, light mousses, cakes and creams each day.

Each night guests choose from an Asian or European menu.  Both menus are contemporary in style.  Guests are able to select courses from either menu and mix the Asian with the European.

The highlight of the trip is an elegant 5 course dinner on the last night of the 3 or 4 night cruise.  Seven-night cruise guests enjoy two different 5 course dinners in the course of their cruise.
